Reality-bending co-op puzzle platformer BOKURA out now

Get ready to explore a world of two realities in the new co-op adventure game, BOKURA, available today on Steam Early Access. Developed by tokoronyori and published by Kodansha Games Creator’s Lab, BOKURA allows two players to embark on a journey of self-discovery, exploration, and collaboration as two boys leaving home to discover what “far away” really means. The game is only playable with two players, with a Friend Pass available for Steam users to share access with a partner.

The adventure begins with the pair running away from home and quickly finding themselves in two different realities occupying the same space. One reality is a picturesque forest, while the other is an industrial dystopia full of robots. The pair must work together, using voice chat to convey needs and solutions, to solve complex puzzles and find a way forward. Each reality contains distinct artifacts that impact the other world, making it crucial for the players to compare and collaborate.

BOKURA is a highly-replayable game, with multiple endings across different paths, allowing players to focus on mutual progression instead of a “correct” answer. The game's creator, tokoronyori, stated that the game is “a story about two boys who’s vision of the world suddenly changed into two different things. Through the adventures of these two boys finding their way to overcome difficulties despite not seeing eye to eye, we hope that you find nostalgia in the memory of old friendships.”

BOKURA is available on Steam Early Access. The game includes English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese language options. BOKURA promises to be a mind-bending escapade, allowing players to experience a world of two realities and discover the true meaning of “far away” with a friend.
