35MM unshuttered on consoles

We're all looking optimistically forward to life returning to something resembling normal after the pandemic, but the few survivors of Sergey Noskov's 35MM aren't nearly so fortunate, as more players can now find out for themselves following its recent release on consoles.

The game tells the story of "two travelers who set out on a long journey in the wasteland" left behind after a pandemic wiped out nearly the whole human population and much of its infrastucture. The old way of life is long gone, along with all of its conveniences, and those who remain must adapt to the harsh, unforgiving environment in order to survive. To keep on the move, you will need to "collect supplies, food, batteries and weapons" along the way, solving a number of quests in the process in order to overcome the obstacles in your path.

35MM is not a new game, but rather a remaster of the first commercial release from Noskov, who went on to create 7th Sector and In Rays of the Light. As with the latter, this "Siberian sojourn" is a first-person, free-roaming adventure with realistic 3D graphics and a "crushing post-apocalyptic atmosphere." As you travel through the "deserted towns and cities in Russia" and explore the "fields and forests of a vast country and even a secret underground facility," players will gradually piece together the protagonist's identity and background, on the way to one of several possible endings depending your actions.

Originally released in 2016 on Steam for Windows PC, 35MM has now been ported for consoles with "updated graphics and an exclusive photo mode," available to download on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch from their respective digital storefronts.
