Inked spills onto mobile devices

How far would you go, and what would you be prepared to do to find your lost love? Hopefully we're never faced with that question for real, but it lies at the heart of Inked, and isometric puzzle-platformer by indie Croation developer Somnium Games that has just been ported to mobile devices.

Players control the Nameless Hero, a "a ronin character drawn by a comic book artist" named Adam. When your beloved Aiko is captured and taken away, you must embark on an adventure across a "world created by pen on paper" to find her. By "using simple geometrical shapes, you'll solve puzzles" that stand in your way, each of which will bring you one step closer to getting your lost love back. But as the "heart-warming and enchanting" story begins to unravel, you'll come to realize that Adam and the Nameless Hero are connected in ways that neither could have imagined, and this journey "will forever change them both" in the process.

Hand-drawn in a gorgeous pen-and-ink art style, Inked is an isometric adventure with nine different chapters comprising approximately four hours of gameplay. During that time you'll traverse a variety of different environments filled with puzzles that can be solved by strategically "using something as simple as a sphere or a cube." The developer's goal is to tell a "beautiful story of love and hope," but remember that love changes whatever it touches, and that sometimes "it creates conflict and comfort, and sometimes it turns dark."

Originally launched in April 2018 on Steam for Windows PC, Inked has now been ported to mobile platforms and released on the App Store for iOS and Google Play for Android devices.
