Abha: Light on the Path unveiled on Steam

Indie developer Little Angel takes the phrase “it’s a jungle out there” quite literally in their newly-released point-and-click fantasy adventure Abha: Light on the Path.

The game is named after a young woman who’s lived in a secluded jungle village all her life. When warriors attack and the village is deserted, however, Abha begins to feel “her soul drawn to follow a new path.” If she’s to leave her homeland and all she’s ever known behind, she must “embark on a long journey” on an “initiation quest full of twists and turns.”

Described as an “old-school point-and-click adventure game” with a third-person perspective, Abha’s gameplay will consist of traditional genre fare, tasking players with finding needed items and solving puzzles to progress. Based on the first trailer released, however, this isn’t your standard jungle. The hand-painted environments promise to be “brimming with poetry,” with dinosaurs and even aliens factoring into the story along the way.

Having crept up on us with little fanfare, there’s no need to wait to begin your jungle quest, as Abha: Light on the Path is now available on Steam exclusively for Windows PC.
