Yeli Orog soon to be unleashed on PC

If the name Yeli Orog sounds eerily alien and possibly terrifying, then you've probably got the right idea about the new FMV-based, Myst-style adventure coming soon on Steam.

Players step into the shoes of archeologist Johnny Robin, who is sent to Asturias after the incredible discovery of "a bizarre stone tablet written in the Celtiberian language found buried underneath an ancient dolmen in northern Spain." Inscribed on the stone is a "ghoulish tale believed to be the Celtiberian origin myth." Upon your arrival, however, you get swept up into this legend in a way you never imagined when "you find yourself unexpectedly transported to an alien world, experiencing first-hand the terrifying story written on the ancient tablet."

The point-and-click game plays like a typical first-person slideshow adventure with puzzles to solve along the way, but unlike most games of its type, the scenes in Yeli Orog are presented in full motion video filmed on location in Asturias by its indie developer. Along with a few blood-curdling otherworldly additions, that is.

If you think you're up to the challenge of both wits and nerve, there isn't long to wait as Yeli Orog is scheduled to be released on Steam on July 13th, exclusively for Windows PC.
