Folklore-inspired Oknytt now braving the elements on PC

One good thing about adventures is that even the smallest and most insignificant creature can have one. That is certainly true of Oknytt, an independent adventure just released for download.

Oknytt takes place in a Norse medieval world on an especially dark night, during which one little newborn creature is simply looking for a place to belong. In its travels, the little protagonist will encounter a variety of supernatural beings found in Swedish folklore, and helping to overcome the many obstacles in its path are four  different elemental runes that must be activated at specific times to trigger various changes in the environment.

Created by indie developer Nemoria Entertainment, Oknytt was the winner of the Swedish Game Concept Challenge 2012. The finished game is fully voiced, and its distinctive art style is based on the works of famed Swedish painter John Bauer.
