Captain Morgane and the Golden Turtle sails into UK stores

Ahoy, mateys! No matter what your platform of choice, you can now get your hands on Captain Morgane and the Golden Turtle, at least in the UK.

A spin-off adventure from the So Blonde series, Captain Morgane follows the feisty Morgane Castillo from childhood through to her rise as one of the most fearsome pirates of the Caribbean. Written by industry veteran Steve Ince, the game sends players on a journey through five different islands on the trail of the famous adventurer Buckleberry Tanner. But as Morgane and her crew search for clues to the hidden treasure of Turtle Island, they must also contend with the villainous Hilary Simpkins, who seeks to claim the riches first.

Captain Morgane and the Golden Turtle was released in the UK for the Nintendo Wii and DS a couple weeks back, but only now have the PC and PlayStation 3 versions been released as well. (Note that the Wii version of the game is region encoded while the others are not.)

For more details about the game, be sure to check out our preview and Steve Ince interview and the official website.

Would like to know what people think about the redone voices…

Jackal: To get US-only DLC to work you can just make a fake US account. Personally I live in Beverly Hills.

Also, to anyone thinking it’s wrong to do this, it’s not like you’re doing anything unjustifiable, you’re just trying to get your hands on stuff not available in your own territory for whatever legal mumbojumbo reason. You pay for it just the same.

actually i respect those restrictions ,though i am being harmed as well since i live in Egypt but i will try to say this discretely ; there haven’t been a game for as long as i can remember that couldn’t get ripped and those stuff as the case with morgane! ....YEAH i guess we should help those developers to maintain their copyrights the way they should!

Are they? Hmm, yeah. There are some PS3 region restrictions (on DLC, for example), but you’re right, the games themselves seem to be region-free.

What is this with the PS3 version being region locked? I usually buy my PS3 games from USA and they work fine here in Europe (Denmark).

Yeah, the PC download version is international (it’s at Adventure Shop as well), but the UK is where you can get your hands on your platform of choice.
