The Lost City of Malathedra discovered for sale online

There hasn't been much heard from indie developers Ethereal Darkness in recent months, but their debut adventure is back squarely on the map today with news that The Lost City of Malathedra has now been released.

In this point-and-click adventure that the developers describe as "heavily inspired by classics such as The Fate Of Atlantis, The Dig, and the Kings Quest series", players assume the role of a 26-year-old historian named Rebecca. When Rebecca receives a letter from her father, inviting her to join him in the Caribbean for an important discovery, she soon sets off for Culuco Island to join him in his quest for the legendary lost city of Malathedra.

Offered strictly as a download, The Lost City of Malathedra is available for purchase directly from the game's website for $19.95 USD. There you can also find several trailers and a playable demo, which allows you to play through the game's prologue as Rebecca's father.
