Wadjet Eye looking lively as independent publisher

After hinting in a recent video podcast that Wadjet Eye Games was poised to finance its first third-party adventure, today some of the details of the upcoming game have now been revealed.

While the title of the game is still unknown, what is known is that the developer will be Erin Robinson's Lively Ivy Studios. Having made a name for herself in the Underground community with the freeware release of Spooks and Nanobots, the partnership with Wadjet Eye marks the debut commercial venture for Robinson and her team.

Like the existing titles from both Robinson and Wadjet Eye, the new game will be created with the Adventure Game Studio engine, though using a higher resolution than previous efforts. Described as a "puzzle themed adventure game in the style of Nanobots", Wadjet Eye founder Dave Gilbert adds that the new game will feature "different characters, story, significantly more levels and a more streamlined interface" than its bot-based predecessor.

With pre-production occurring behind the scenes for the past couple months, the game is currently targeting a release in early November.
