No Uru for the Mac
Today Cyan Worlds brings sad news for Mac users that are fans of the Myst series. The Macintosh version of Uru: Ages Beyond Myst has been cancelled, due to technical difficulties in the converting of the original PC game. The main difficulty were to find a Macintosh equivalent of the Havok physics engine.
The development team states on their website that "We'd like to think that we learned something from the experience. We chose not to use the same physics engine on our current project."
Uru: Ages Beyond Myst was released for the PC on November last year, and did originally include an online component. However, the online portion of the game was terminated before it was fully executed.
