Aggies 2016
Dreamfall: Chapters—> no aggies
with all due respect but i remember how AG(fov) had already torn it apart at its review.. i shouldn’t have expected anything else.
anyway, it is my Best adventure at 2016, however anyone else’s opinion is.

I remember all the defense force bashing me for not liking Ragnar approach in the end they started hating it and i loved the game
there will come a time soon when adventurers will consider how good it is!
this kinda remind me when Shawshank Redemption and Fight Club were a box office failure

You have a good taste my friend. I salute you
Playing: 1) Broken Sword 5 2) Road 96

aggies 2017 will be Thimbleweed
considering the pattern and tastes
The Witness should win in at least one category.
EDIT: Oh wait, it already did! Shame on me for not reading the main page.

What if Syberia 3 was a nice surprise? I don’t think so, but…
And there will be tough contenders: Unavowed, Lamplight City…
Currently translating Strangeland into Spanish. Wish me luck, or send me money to my Paypal haha
2017 will be strong year for Daedalic too if they manage to release State of Mind, Pillars of the Earth and even Devil`s Men all this year.
Playing: 1) Broken Sword 5 2) Road 96
It’s not what I would choose, but I’d guess best game King’s Quest and reader’s choice Kathy Rain.

The decision wasn’t up to fov, but she wasn’t the only one who found DC entirely underwhelming, even among big fans of the series.

What pattern? Whose tastes? Our last six GOTY winners were STASIS, Blackwell Epiphany, Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, The Walking Dead, Portal 2, and Last Window. Good luck finding any pattern in that, other than being great games.
If Thimbleweed Park cleans up, it’ll be because it earned it. (And based on my first four hours with the game, it looks outstanding.)
Wow, I’m speechless. Thanks a ton to everyone who voted for Kathy Rain!

All of those games contain the letter ‘a’, which shows a long standing and disturbing vowel bias on the part of the adventuregamers.com staff. It’s completely unacceptable. My upcoming game, Syzygy, doesn’t stand a chance.
As such, I am now changing its name to: Atalaya the Ataraxic Aardvark’s Himalayan Adventure. My victory is assured!!!

I think past games like TWD dont count since they are not rated now or atleast not counted in nominations for reasons why Inside and Firewatch were not
So it selectively leaves games that are either PnC and or immitate oldschool classics, and thats my opinion (might be wrong) that favor/taste is skewed towards them more
Having said that i personally dont mind TWeed win , i am Ron fan and backed it.
Lets wait
Congrats to all winners, but especially the two big ones, which I guess I should find the time to play soon
And yeah, Kathy Rain being a 1st time effort deserves extra kudos (do we still use this word anymore, am I being a square?). Good job, dudes!
