Does it feature a literary detective?

If you mean a detective found in a work of literature the answer is:
No

These clues seem to be leading me towards Secret Files: Tunguska…?

No

Recap:
Clues: Eye, Bell, Museum (the 1st 2 clues are referred to on the cover art, maybe the 3rd?)

Nothing to do with ancient Egypt
3rd person point & click game
Not released after 2010
Not released before 2000
Not horror
Not Sanitarium
Not an obscure game
Not a Wadget Eye game
Not set in the future
Multiple protagonists
Not a religious theme
Takes place on planet earth
A detective/mystery
Doesn’t feature a detective from literature
Not Kathy Rain
You don’t have to press X to Jason? (who’s Jason?  Laughing )
Not Secret Files: Tunguska

I’ll just add that detective/mystery is how this game is described on Moby Games but more accurately described as Drama/Mystery on this site although one of the protagonists is a detective!

I thought it was Heavy Rain and referred to the scene where you have to scream Jason around in the mall.

Just realized I hadn’t actually checked: It’s (primarily) a PC game, yes?
