I usually keep one save at the beginning of each chapter or area, so I can replay my favorite parts of the game. I also keep a save after any particularly difficult or annoying sequences that I don’t want to have to go through again if I ever replay.

I don’t have time to replay a whole game because of a bug or a corrupt autosave in a game that only allows one save.
A few years ago I might have replayed, but now I just chuck the game if that happens.
It’s not worth getting cheated of my time twice.

Oh yes, lots and lots.

The first time I played Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis, somehow I managed to use all 99 save slots, and had to start overwriting older saves from near the start of the game.

I’ve since cut back, but I still like to have quite a few save slots.

I will use as many save-game slots as the game allows. And while Death as a possible outcome is a rarity these days, there are lots of other reasons to save a game. Not the least of which is a game crash at an inopportune time.

Haha,
actually, my mind didnt accept the idea of the thread at first, so i thought the question is about the new adventures with only auto save option!, and the slots available for different players, Smile
now it makes sense.

Yes, that too.

I usually use two slots: an active one, which I keep overwriting as I progress, and one I overwrite only once in a while (usually at the beginning of a chapter).

It’s probably a habit I picked up as I’ve always played more games on consoles than on the PC, and save slots used to be rare (battery saves / memory cards), so there was a need to be ‘frugal’ with save slots. But even now, on modern consoles, and on PC, I still use two slots.

Yes to different slots. You never know when you’re going to run across a dead end, game ending bug or corrupted save. I’ve come across those situations far too often.

This. Somehow I feel like a coward, saving every few minutes… no living on the edge for me! Wink
