Can you recognize this adventure game?
The protagonist is a woman who is investigating the death or disappearance of a relative or a friend of hers in a castle. It starts with a long introduction to the castle and the story. It wasn’t scary and I don’t remember fighting. After a while you were joined by an animal (?) companion, maybe a dog. The castle maybe had dragon-like statues.
Little bit similar to Syberia. It’s not Haunting Ground.
I would say it’s more than 10 years old.
Recently finished: Four Last Things 4/5, Edna & Harvey: The Breakout 5/5, Chains of Satinav 3,95/5, A Vampyre Story 88, Sam Peters 3/5, Broken Sword 1 4,5/5, Broken Sword 2 4,3/5, Broken Sword 3 85, Broken Sword 5 81, Gray Matter 4/5\nCurrently playing: Broken Sword 4, Keepsake (Let\‘s Play), Callahan\‘s Crosstime Saloon (post-Community Playthrough)\nLooking forward to: A Playwright’s Tale
Wow, just wow! Thank you!
How is the story in this game?
How is the story in this game?
Excellent, thought most of it consist of more or less solitary exploration, and getting the story part in different flashbacks.

I would say a logical resolution, whether or not it is good is probably a matter of taste. But it does pretty much end the only way it can end, and it is connected to all those flashbacks.
