Not a Netflix, I think the physical copy only contains the first episode and the season to download the others when available. They already did this with the Minecraft game.

I don’t think it makes sense but I think Minecraft did good for them (at least in the charts) and they are probably trying to repeat it. It’s probably trying to capture people that only buy games in stores and just look at the big name in the cover.
How many parents bought their kids the Minecraft game just because of the name?...

I think nomadsoul is saying it’s similar to Netflix’s original series release strategy, but I’m a little confused myself.

It’s releasing all the episodes at the same time like Netflix does.
I can’t help but groan each time I see another telltale game announced.
They used to make real point & click adventure games and I’m always disappointed anew that they’re making action simulators now.

An adventure game is nothing more than a good story set with engaging puzzles that fit seamlessly in with the story and the characters, and looks and sounds beautiful.

I’ll probably never use it but seems it could interesting for streamers. Knowing Telltale usual technical problems it will probably have a lot of issues most of the time.
That’s admittedly pretty cool. I saw something similar in Persona 4 Golden where you could find out how other players decided to spend their time between dungeons. However it didn’t have the option to directly affect your playthrough.
This should encourage more difficult decisions.
