That’s without a doubt, Yuki!
I remember Cirkos trying to make him jump through the hoop, inside the bar.
The “but am essentially just a battery” made me think (at first) of hamsters!
I’m glad I’m finally online again!
You’ve got it!! 
Yuki’s main purpose in the game was to power the rail car and gate. Hence the battery part. I loved him. He was so cute.

I actually didn’t have a character in mind, but guessing Youki, and thinking of Kate reminded me of Mina (same voice), which led me to Jep. 
I’m glad they made him a playable character in the second one.
