Games with playable dream sequences? Easy enough.
The Adventures of Willy Beamish: Babysitter from Hell sequence
The Longest Journey
Sanitarium: The entire game.

And one text game for good measure: Sorcerer, by Infocom, with its nightmare opening sequence. If you count Weird Dreams as an adventure game, then that also works.
Name three adventure games where it is possible for the player character to be dissolved by acid.

Name three adventure games where the main character must die for the player to win. It does not count if the death is reversed and the main character recovers, or the main character was dead from the start of the game.

Okay, seeing as we haven’t had any answers for over a week, here is a ridiculously lazy set of three:

Space Quest 1
Space Quest 2
Space Quest 4

New question!

Name three adventures with an unconventional save/restore system. This can either mean “no ability to save/restore on command,” or “checkpoint saves instead of save/restore,” or even “rewind time/jump to scene instead of save/restore”.

For the sake of making it a little harder, we’ll leave Telltale games out of this one.

That’s a tough one, Karlok.  I can think of only Byzantine: The Betrayal, which takes place in Istanbul.

Oh, you meant adventure games?

Yes, adventure games. This is the adventure forum at the AdventureGamers site.
The thread is called Name __ Adventure Games.
I’m bowing out, the floor is all yours.

PS: LadyK, I was thinking of Byzantine Betrayal, Culpa Innata, Piri: The Explorer Ship.

I forgot about Piri but didn’t realize that Culpa Innata has Turkish connections as well.  Does the game take place in Turkey?

Will you post another task, Karlok, or should I?

Culpa Innata Devs were based in Istanbul.

Was thinking The Last Express again myself.

Okay, I will.

Name 3 games in which you interact with a pet bird in some way.

The Book of Unwritten Tales 1&2 (Cheep-cheep).
Captain Morgane and The Golden Turtle (Uncle Eduardo)
Tony Tough and the Night of the Roasted Moths (the parrot on the pirate ship).

Name 4 AG’s featuring dragons.

Duckman: Can you believe it? Five hundred bucks for a parking ticket?
Cornfed Pig: You parked in a handicapped zone.
Duckman: Who cares? Nobody parks there anyway, except for the people who are supposed to park there and, hell, I can outrun them anytime.

It’s tempting to just pick 4 games with a dragon, but let’s read that in the narrowest possible way: four games, each featuring dragons, plural. More than one dragon. That makes it harder, so I can’t just say KQ1, KQ3, Peasant’s Quest, QFGV, done.

First, surprisingly: Not Dragonsphere. (Not even one, as far as I can tell.)

With that out of the way:

The Book of Unwritten Tales 1: Has flying dragon early on, and dragon in lair later.

Hadean Lands: Has four dragons, none of which are literal dragons. They’re abstract alchemical runic constructs.

Gabriel Knight 1: Has >2 drachen.

Quest for Glory 1 VGA: Has at least 3 dragons (2 may be the same dragon). Where they can be found is an exercise left to the reader.

Name 3 adventure games - graphic or otherwise - whose game boxes were somehow misleading about the content of the game itself. Perhaps they show characters or monsters who never really appear in the game, or costumes that don’t show up, or events that just don’t happen on any route.

Claims of merit or genre don’t count (so no picking a game whose box says “THE BEST” when it isn’t, or “ADVENTURE” when it’s not really an adventure game, or “COMEDY” when it’s not funny.)

The more obvious it is the cover artist never played the game, the better!

A quick example would be many Space Quest covers, which show Roger Wilco wielding a mop or plunger as a weapon (which he never does in canon) against aliens who never appear in the games.
