Numbers for Point & Click Adventure Games

Hello =)

I’m putting together a investor package for my game, The Blue code, you can see more about it here: Facebook

even play a really early version here: Click Here

and to be able to convince people that this is a good idea, I need numbers to back the whole thing up, example, sales numbers for Point & Click adventure games, not going back more then five years. Or revenue for companies and games, same thing here, not going back more then five years

Where can I find this information, tried google around, but nothing good showed up

Thanks

I don’t think any of this information is readily available, but I may be mistaken.

I did some searching and I came up with a site listing some different articles about the matter: http://www.pixelprospector.com/the-big-list-of-game-revenue-sales/

worth checking up if you are interested in numbers and indie dev =)

The biggest site that I know of for that type of information is http://www.vgchartz.com but I don’t think it’s great for PC Point and Click Adventure games.  You could certainly find the numbers for say, The Walking Dead, Heavy Rain, and maybe The Testament of Sherlock Holmes, for example, but I doubt it would have the numbers for Gemini Rue and the like.

true, vgchatrz have for more bigger triple A games while the other links cover more indie games so you can get a sense of what number to suspect =)

It should be noted that the numbers from vgchartz aren’t official and aren’t always actually even remotely accurate.
