Point and Click Adventure Gaming Community in NYC
Hello all,
I’m trying to gauge whether there is a substantial point and click gaming community in NYC Metropolitan area. I have always been interested in the genre but never had a chance to meet other aficionados and learn from them.
I contacted adventuregamers.com on FB and they suggested posting in their forums. If there are other adventure gaming enthusiasts in New York City, let’s meet up or connect atleast. I have always liked these games but want to delve into the subculture a little bit.

Yes, there are point and click people in NYC! I’m here, as is Dave Gilbert of Wadjet Eye Games.
There’s lots of local game dev events. I usually go to the monthly indie game dev social, which is the first Wednesday of every month at 7pm at Josie Woods Pub in the Village.
I’m in Albany, about a 2.5-hour Amtrak ride from NYC. If there was a meetup of sufficient size, I’d be willing to make the trip…

So jelly of such great names in this NYC community! Alas, I’m in Chicago, but I head to NYC for a trade show every mid-January and would love to join then if anything is happening. Been playing since the 80s and while I’m not terribly active on this board, I definitely read lots of the threads on it regularly! (Plus I’ve been wanting to meet Dave even since Bestowers came out.)
I’m on Long Island, about an hour and a half outside the city. I get into the city once every few months or so. Really, I ought to get in more!

Haven’t checked this thread in awhile. Glad to know there is a substantial community here. I’ll try to make it day after tomorrow although the first Wednesday of October would be more feasible.
Hope more people post and we can have a meet and greet!
I am also open to planning something in the near future if you guys are.
Sorry I could not make it to the Wednesday thing.
