Interesting idea Advie. But -

Whilst I haven’t played GK2 nor TLJ in a very long time I can’t recall a house fire in either.

Certainly there is in BS2.

Definitely not in UaKM I’m afraid and what do you mean, you’ve never played the game?  Pan  One of the all-time greats and validated the use of FMV (along with a couple of others of course Smile ).

And, as you may have gathered by now, you are, sadly, incorrect Grin

i hate FMVs, there repetitive cutsece for him sitting standing, open the door ..etc all those get on my nerve when i see them 100s of times thru the game, all are done quirky and i had to skip them all the time, if i wanna play an FMV game i ll go watch a B movie that doesn’t mean i dont like B movie i love them, but FMV games still didn’t get it right maybe in future when gaming technology helps with FMV games to be exactly like as if you are into a 100% movie quality i will try them, but for now i love Drawing, hand drawing charters and locations, this is my thing

It isn’t related to guns again is it?

I kind of remember someone pointing a gun at you in all these games.

Edit: and UaKM really is a must play game!

Wind-up toys/items?  Smile

Let’s see:

GK2 - Absolutely (who would ever forget that puzzle!)

TLJ - Absolutely again

BS2 - Umm, don’t think so

UaKM - Definitely not (now watch me proven wrong) Perhaps you’re thinking of the wind-up mouse in Overseer Chrissie?

Nice try but that’s a no I’m afraid Smile

Let’s see (again!  Grin )

GK2 - Definitely a rifle in that game (we’ll allow it to be called a gun Smile ) but it’s never used on the player.

TLJ - Zack does get shot of course but it’s nothing to do with you, the player.

UaKM - The only gun I can recall is Tex’s where he throws it out of the window.

BS2 - There’s the cigarette lighter that’s gun shaped but that doesn’t count and I can’t think of anything else there.

So Izno, like Chrissie, it’s a good go but, sadly, a no once again Smile

Is the common denominator extra-sensory perception?

Interesting concept Lady K. Interesting, but wrong Smile

My take on it:

GK2 is a definite yes.

UaKM and TLJ I’d agree both have shape-shifters but no actual ESP.

BS2 I can’t recall anything vaguely resembling ESP. I cheerfully acknowledge that your memory of games is far greater than mine (as is your knowledge of course) but I’d really like to know what you’re thinking of here.

Priests?  Smile

Afraid not Chrissie Frown

I’ll add another to the list plus a couple of bits of a clue.

So far everyone has been looking for a connection within the game and you’re all right in doing so. That’s one bit of a hint. The second bit is that, after this game, I can’t recall this connection in any other game. There’s got to be more and I’m going to be trying to find them (I’ve got an idea where to look) but, for the moment, and I’m out for the next couple of days anyway, this is it.

Under A Killing Moon
Broken Sword 2: The Smoking Mirror
The Longest Journey
Gabriel Knight 2: The Beast Within

The Dig

My Hero(ine) worship come crashing down about my ears! A guess! I always thought everything you did here was balanced, thought out, considered and pertinent.  Confused

It’s really good to know that you have a load of fun as well whilst you’re at it Laughing

It’s all done with mirrors!

Sadly, though, Chrissie, not in this case Smile
