Adventure Game Scene of the Day — Tuesday 11 September 2012
Does anyone remember Entombed? It was a first-person game in which you were stuck in an Egyptian-ish tomb and had to puzzle your way through to something (I think the ending got really weird). Some of the puzzles were pretty fun, although it had an obnoxious five-level (or was it seven?) maze.
Ah Entombed
Never did beat it, Then again I only had the demo.
Hard game. When I got it, I couldn’t get out of the first room. But the only games that I had played before it was Commander Keen So.. it might not be as hard as I remember.
Wasn’t there a enhanced version?
Seems like they advertised the graphics because they where ray traced.
I Am the Knight of the Order of the Sun!
Who polishes their floors. That’s some reflection.
An adventure game is nothing more than a good story set with engaging puzzles that fit seamlessly in with the story and the characters, and looks and sounds beautiful.
Roberta Williams
Played the shareware mode and bad as I was at games back then, couldn’t get past the first room. When was it released, 1993? It was surely ahead of its time.
