Quantic Dream to reveal a new game at Sony’s conference at E3.
The studio that built PS3 classic Heavy Rain is just days away from revealing its new project, CVG understands.

David Cage, founder of Quantic Dream, will take centre stage at Sony’s E3 press conference next Monday to offer a glimpse into his next major title.A trusted senior development source has also told CVG that the Paris studio is currently working on two separate mystery projects, each for Sony, though it is unclear if both are being targeted for a PS3 release.
Cage himself recently suggested he would be happy to develop on PlayStation 3 for the next five years. But the reveal of Cage’s first project is expected to be a major draw for Sony at E3, as the electronics giant prepares to parade a catalogue of exclusive games for both Vita and PS3.
A Sony spokesperson declined to comment.

I don’t really consider Heavy Rain an adventure game. At the very least, I think it’s a bastardisation of the genre. However, having an adventure game in any form premiere at one of the major conferences at E3 is pretty note worthy.
I enjoyed Heavy Rain for what it was - an interactive movie with adventure elements. Indigo Prophecy is good, too, but the story goes off the rails in the final act.
This preview of Quantic’s new game was released a couple months ago. Looks really cool, subject wise.
Wooot!! Can’t wait until Monday.
The Kara concept trailer really had me gagging for a new Quantic Adventure game.
An adventure game is nothing more than a good story set with engaging puzzles that fit seamlessly in with the story and the characters, and looks and sounds beautiful.

While I enjoyed Heavy Rain, I agree it’s hardly an adventure game.

Hm, maybe the second project is the Omikron sequel after all? I really hope it is! Now that was a high-quality adventure (like I haven’t said that million times before).
i thought the Kara trailer was just a tech demo for the world about their new in house game engine.did Cage say anything about it being more than that?have i missed something?
(still haven’t played Heavy Rain…since i don’t have a ps3…..some day….some day )
and i also agree…..to have a game advertising the Adventure genre in E3 thus putting the genre in the spotlight is very note worthy.hopefully this time someone from the big studios will take note.(i realise this is a rather utopian dream but one has to dream )

Yeah, I think you’re right—Kara was just a tech demo. (Although the previous ‘audition’ video had thematic ties and shared the tone of Heavy Rain, Lauren even appeared in the game so there’s always the possibility that something similar will translate here too.) Gamasutra interviewed David Cage a couple of days ago, in case any one’s interested. It’s a behind-the-scenes look at the man’s design process, interesting stuff.
Honestly, I loved Heavy Rain and Fahrenheit. They fit my definition of an adventure, but that’s something I don’t even care about any more: if I love the game, I love the game. (If you guys don’t want it in your genre, I’m sure others would happily oblige. ) Can’t wait to see what they’ve got coming up next!
There’s been rumours of something called Infraworld for a while. A poster even appeared in Heavy Rain…
Right or wrong, weak or strong.
I hope that, as part of the announcement, they say that it’s coming out this year. I love David Cage’s games and I don’t like waiting.

Here, Here. I almost bought a PS3 just to play Heavy Rain. And I love adventure games.
I enjoy playing adventure games on my Alienware M17 r4 and my Nintendo Switch OLED.
I can’t wait for the announcement. I can almost guarantee this will be one of the rare games I will preorder a new copy of. Love me some Heavy Rain.
Like others have said, supposedly the tech demo has nothing to do with the new game’s settings or themes (per David Cage), but I guess we’ll see.
This is exciting!
I adored both Heavy Rain and Indigo Prophecy.
Currently Playing: The Testament of Sherlock Holmes;
Currently Re-Playing: Culpa Innata
Recently Finished: Secret Files: Puritas Cordis, Art of Murder: Hunt for the Puppeteer, Dear Esther

Still doesn’t change the fact I’d love to explore a futuristic sci-fi world through Kara’s perspective and experiences, tech demo or otherwise.

I *did* buy a PS3 just to play Heavy Rain.
I like to see Cage’s return to sci-fi.

I hope release date is not far away too.

David Cage interview.
I hope release date is not far away too.
Well all the smart money is on a Xmas 2013 release for the next generation of consoles. So my guess is that one of the games will be released next year and the other project will be a PS4 game.
