Go To Hell Dave - 27 August 2012 09:18 PM

Yes we are, If you go on our facebook, http://www.facebook.com/GoToHellDave
We have more updates on there.

The plan is to use our budget to fund a high quality demo, once that is released, we will then host a kickstarter to get additional money to help fund the the rest of the development of the game. At the moment we have 2 almost complete panels, an additional background that just needs tweaking and the character animations should be with us by the end of the week.

We want to make an old school adventure game like the ones we played in our younger days, Broken sword, grim fandango, zack macracken. Hopefully we should have some brand new footage shortly, and to be-honest it makes me laugh and smile every time I test it.

If you know anyone who will be interested in a game like this spread the word, we are gonna need all the help we can get, and we have some great ideas for reward tiers.

Thanks for your input.

Awesome man, hopefully we will have a demo up soon. Spread the word of GTHD. Do you have a favourite adventure game? I recently completed red Johnston Chronicles, what a great and underrated game, I thin the sequel is coming out this year on PSN and XBLA can’t wait.

Looking really nice. I love the style.

Awesome to see other people doing indie AG’s, and taking a professional approach to them!

Which engine are you using? I would hazard a guess and say AGS?

I really like the idea of an AG taking place in the ‘9 levels of hell’. I can just imagine the elevator music, and ‘charon-like’ bellman. Grin

Yeah we are using AGS :-). That’s a great idea with the bellman, I See the lift as a breather from the action. Elevator music is a must though. We already have lots of game, pop culture references. Elevator source anyone? I sort of like the idea of the lift being an old style oak wood panels. Like the one in the shinning. The lift it’s self is still in the design stages so who knows. Thanks for your input Pyke.

Im a Visioniare user myself. Neck deep in development!

What you could do is have a ‘generic’ Shining style interior for the elevator, but the door to the elevator would be based on the level of hell you are in.

Im not sure about the designs of the ‘levels;, but having one door be from the 1920’s, and on another level the door is super clean and modern…well it could just be a cool little feature. Wink

Adventure game studio . Mainly for the easy licensing. We could use unity or udk but that would Have cost us a lot more
