Perhaps not difficult, but I’ve included the in-game text to help.

This game is an interactive story / Adventure game, with a serious tone. A one-off, but something of an almost forgotten masterpiece, in my humble opinion.

That’s enough clues, I reckon. 👍

Getting back to the subject, I’ll guess Last Rose in a Desert Garden for your mushroom cloud picture.

This came out on CD. And an English version was released. I’m fairly sure you do know of it, LadyK.
