Adventure Game Scene of the Day — Sunday 5 August 2012
Since we’re talking about text adventures, here’s Zork! I played it for a couple of hours at some point, but never found the motivation to get into it seriously and try to finish it. But obviously, it is of great historical significance, etc., etc., etc.
I hope tsa is reading the Zork commands!
Now playing: ——-
Recently finished: don’t remember
Up next: Eh…
Looking forward to: Ithaka of the Clouds; The Last Crown; all the kickstarter adventure games I supported
Just don’t type things like “Stand on table”, “Jump on Trapdoor” or “Swipe sword”
An adventure game is nothing more than a good story set with engaging puzzles that fit seamlessly in with the story and the characters, and looks and sounds beautiful.

On a more positive note.
I love the Zork series. From small beginnings a great empire arose.

Eaten by a grue! Typical….
Nice scene
I still Remember how text adventures improved my keyboard Typing Skills
Here you go, grue fans:
reminds me of old days, I started with C64 Gremlings text / graphic adventure, back then I was a bit scared playing it. Amazing how things change.. good memories.
