The Secret World - anyone still playing or recommend it?
Hey guys,
I noticed the Secret World is on sale on Steam so I was wondering if anyone is still playing it?
Also, if no one really plays it anymore, is it still worth playing?
Also would you recommend the Ultimate Edition (includes 10 DLCs) or are they not really necessary?

It’s not a multiplayer game, so you shouldn’t care who’s also playing it.
It’s a pretty decent game, but it had a lot of technical issues on my computer which made it very annoying to play. I still completed it, though.
No clue what DLC it would need - it’s an adventure game, yeah? No add-on missions, no skins.
Why do you say it’s not a multiplayer game, Antrax?
It’s a MMORPG/Adventure, a lot of it is possible to solo but there are instances only possible with other players.
Last time I played it was last year and there were still a lot of people around.
I’d say it’s definitely worth it to check if you don’t mind MMO combat, the story and lore built is impressive. The adventure/puzzle can extremely tough.
The DLC is not needed at firstm I would say try the basic game first and ig you like it you can get the story packs later
@Antrax - Are you sure you are not confusing it with The Whispered World?
The Secret World is very much an MMO.
Anyway I haven’t played it for years, so I don’t know if anybody is still playing, or how much it has changed since then. But if it is cheap enough why not give it a try, I don’t even think it requires a subscription any more.
