Hi everyone,
I’m the developer of the new release of A Mess O’ Trouble (AMOT) for Mac OS X. If you’re not familiar with it, AMOT was the third game in the Ray’s Maze series of shareware adventure games made by Ray Dunakin for the Mac in the 1990s. While the graphics are black-and-white, I’ve always found the gameplay to be amazing. The game consists of several different worlds connected by one-way interdimensional passages called Jump Doors. Each world has its own story and puzzles, so the game feels huge. You can move between the worlds freely, so if you’re not making progress in one area you can always move on to a different world (apart from a few cases where you may be trapped and need to solve a puzzle to escape, such as the very beginning of the game). The worlds in AMOT include an authentic ghost town, a tropical island, an enchanted forest, and the immense Voidbeast. A screenshot is attached.
If you’ve tried it, I’d love to hear what you think. This is my first published game, after all! More information is available at the links below.
I am currently working on developing OS X versions of Ray’s other games. And we’re also planning to do an iOS release eventually as well.
Thanks,
Marc
