Adventure game scene… uh, game (continued)

I think your screenshots might be from Traitors Gate 2, Mike.

Lady Kestrel - 11 March 2015 03:06 AMI think your screenshots might be from Traitors Gate 2, Mike.
Yes, they are. And it’s one of the worst games I ever tried to play and didn’t even bother to finish. For The Adventure Company to pretend it was a sequel to its predecessor, which I thought was a great game except for the dreaded (insert four-letter word beginning with “m”, here), is a total disservice to the Original Traitors Gate.
Did you actually get all the way through it, Lady Kestrel?

I avoided playing it, Mike. I had played the original Traitors Gate and liked it, even with the frequent slogs through the sewers and that damned timed gas puzzle. However, when I saw how much action was involved and how easily Raven could get killed, I knew it wasn’t a game for me.
I’ll be back with a screenshot.

I sure wish the original Traitors Gate was available on GOG or Steam, or someplace like that. I’d buy it in a heartbeat. I used to have the boxed version, but stupidly got rid of it (along with a bunch of other great games) after my Windows 98 machine died, thinking there was no way it would work on my “high end” XP rig. Still kicking myself over that…

The thing that attracted me to the game in the first place was I had been to the Tower of London and knew many of the locations.
Next up is a mysterious machine:

I know I’ve played this before….probably on that old Win 98 machine around the turn of the century. If I remember correctly, it was somewhat Riven-esque with some of the puzzles. It’s not from Atlantis: The Lost Tales, is it?

No, it’s not an Atlantis game, Mike.
