“Evelyn Schafer and the Chance of a Lifetime”
Hello! I imagine adventure games and musical theatre intersect quite frequently, so this is yet another one of those threads.
My name is Greg, and I’m a sometimes adventure game writer (most recently/a bajillion years ago: “Jessica Plunkenstein and the Dusseldorf Conspiracy”) and a more-often theatre writer.
Last month, I wrote a ten-minute musical that’s a thinly veiled allegory for the rise and fall of LucasArts. (If you’re a LucasArts lawyer reading this: it’s actually a Sierra allegory. Also, congratulations on being the one remaining employee at LucasArts.)
Anyway, if such things appeal, the show is “Evelyn Schafer and the Chance of a Lifetime” (hmm, where did that last name come from?), and the link is…

Or you can download it in iTunes (free!) via…
Lyrically,

I visited the website—it’s an interesting concept.
I wasn’t able to find any of the episodes on youtube—do you have to subscribe to see them?
Hi Becky,
It’s a podcast, so it’s audio-only. It’s available for (free) download from iTunes (search for “Take a Ten Musicals”), or you can listen directly at https://soundcloud.com/takeatenmusicals/8-evelyn-shaffer-and-the-chance-of-a-lifetime.
Thanks, and hope you enjoy it!
Greg
