What do you mean? There is 16:9 in the additional options.

It’s not native, it just stretches the 4:3.

An adventure game is nothing more than a good story set with engaging puzzles that fit seamlessly in with the story and the characters, and looks and sounds beautiful.

a fan remastered the beginning of Grim in Unreal Engine 4: http://t.co/8bDfxYCaZ5
one can only dream…

Overall I’m quite happy with the DF remaster, however I was hoping for something more special from the new soundtrack. I think Grim’s music is the best soundtrack ever, especially due to the jazzy horns. The updated music mainly concerns an update of the synthesizer tracks with live symphonic orchestra, however those tracks were not the strongest to begin with. But, it’s great to play Grim Smile

Max: Right! We’ll travel through this dimensional portal on the top of the bar!
Sam: That’s spilled beer, rockhead.
Max: Oh in that case ...

On the PS4 version, the game froze on me three times, and thankfully I had a close by save, or I would have lost lots of progress. In another instance, Manny was stuck in his walk animation, and I needed to open the inventory and close it to revert him to idle mode. Also, before doing some cool in-game animation, the game sometimes just froze for a couple of seconds. During the crane sequence at the edge of the world section, the textures became all messed up. I wish I took some screenshots to show you guys.

I know a lot of people hate on the Monkey Island remasters, but to me, those did it MUCH better than this one.

I don’t know if you have heard of ResidualVm, but for a while now you could play the old game on it, and frankly, it doesn’t look that much different.

So.much.freaking.bloom!

Also, what’s with the weird color desynchronization in the images? (E.g. very noticeable in the bottom right corner of the last image.)

¡hijole! That’s beautiful. I agree that the post effects are a tad overdone but other than that, holy schlamoly.

Yeah. And that’s just a room and a corridor. But it would need the budget of “Call Of Duty” to make ALL the game’s locations re-done properly.

They didn’t need to go that much, but a little touching up the backgrounds in photoshop wouldn’t have hurt. It’s still beautiful anyway.

Quick question, since this was ages ago: I can’t remember, could you actually make out what baloon animal/thing the clown was making in the original? ‘Cause in the remaster Robert Frost really does look like a guy with a pipe. I thought that was the joke, that they all looked the same… Aaah, unreliable memory!

Also chiming in to say that fan remade stuff is good but is in no way faithful to the original, it looks nothing like a noir movie. No bloom in noir Smile

That was what happened in the original as well. The cat looked like a cat, the dingo like a dingo, Robert Frost a guy with a pipe and…..dead worms like dead worms.

I got 100% of the trophies on the PS4 version of the game, after 2 playthroughs. I found the trophies great (besides the tank controls one of course), and they actually provided some tiny Easter Eggs that I missed in my previous playthroughs. My favorite one was when Manny joins the Sea Bees chant against Bogen, and at the end, he says ME-ME-ME-ME-ME Grin . I had to look up some of the trophies in my second playthrough, as I missed them the first time around. How many of you guys care about trophies, and hunted them down while playing the game? Did you end up looking up some like me, or did you get them all without any cheating?

Great job there, looking forward to do the same when i will get time.
For this i definitely gonna do 2 playthroughs, ofcourse i have to look for some,
i saw the stream and the fact that you have to keep getting hit in the last boss fight before hitting the eye of Ship is something hard to figure out by yourself.
