King’s Quest collection is 75% off on Steam

Space Quest collection and White Night are also part of that Steam weekend promo.

A little off-topic but the Call of Duty prices in that promotion are ridiculous, games several years old keep selling at high prices even with the discount. Activision doesn’t really care about (and probably don’t need) promotions.  Meh

I must say that I agree wilco. I just checked the Steam Update News and this was the first thought that came to mind. A 7 year old mediocre entry that sells for 12,49? Goodness gracious.

Yeah Call of Duty has its bro dude fan base who buy it yearly, so they can afford to do that. Blizzard is another company(ironically now owned by Activision), who doesn’t lower their old game prices too much. Oh and let’s not forget the big N. There are some Wii games I want to buy that are still higher in price than some current gen games.

GOG is also having an Activision sale. Lots of Sierra games (King’s Quest, Space Quest, Police Quest, Quest for Glory, Gabriel Knight, Torin’s Passage, Phantsmagoria), as well as the Zork series.

Do iOS store games ever go on sale? I’ve been thinking about Sorcery!, 80 Days, Transylvania.

You can use the TouchArcade app to notify you when a specific app goes on sale (their reviews are pretty nice too). But don’t expect much. Sorcery! 1 has only been on sale twice since its release, 80 Days never has (and Transylvania has been abandoned at this point; just get the PC version, or the Apple II version with an emulator). The AppStore works really differently from Steam.

Transylvania was broken for a while on two iPhone 6s I tested it on, but I tried it again the other day and it worked. I don’t know if they updated it or if an iOS software update fixed some backwards-compatibility thing, but whatever.

Yea I’m not sure that I’m crazy about the gameplay of that on a phone anyway.
