That insomnia sale is such an annoying format. Not sure how they gain over just offering those games at the discount without all the frills.

People tend to buy more on impulse when there’s a limited stock, because there’s no time to think twice and second guess yourself. It also keeps people glued to the screen when there’s a new game on sale every other minute (at least in the first round).

Those sales are annoying exactly because they are just a way to dupe the customers. Everyone should stop to think about it for a second. If you save 80% on a 6$ game by staying up all night staring at the sale screen, is it really worth it? Just buy it when you want to play it or if it’s not that interesting, grab it when you spot it in a sale by accident.
I am a bit sceptical how much more profit GOG gets with having these kinds of sales that put off a lot of people, even though I very well understand the psychology behind it.
