Those pictures look just the right size to me.

Quest for Knowledge
I’m hoping to find name for game that I played long ago
The people here so well-informed, someone is sure to know
A time machine, grandfather clock, I give it to myself
Oh never mind, the box is sitting there upon my shelf
For real retro gaming nerds, name that game.
Not quite the Meet stuff.
I received this delightful postcard from tsa the other day. Since we all wrote postcards to him I thought it only right to share it with you all. Especially since it came a new challenge, a “Match the building” quiz. Which picture matches each description?
Building A.
Our Town Hall was modeled to the Town Hall of Stockholm. It’s now too small to hold all the govenment workers so there is a new building next to the station. But this one is still used for weddings and other things.
Building B.
The Twente State Museum (a sort-of translation of ‘Rijksmuseum Twente’). Twente is the area Enschede is in. The museum is in dire straits at the moment because for some unfathomable reason our govenment decided to scrap most of the funding for it, while mumbling something about ‘not doing enough to reach te public’ and more nonsense. Hopefully the government will come to its senses before it’s too late.
Building C.
The Eekenhof; an appartment building in the neighbourhood called Roombeek. Roombeek blew up due to a fireworks explosion on the 13th of May, 2000. The neighbourhood was rebuilt and it won many architectural prizes. The Eekenhof is one of the most prominent buildings there.
Building D.
Our former postoffice. Built in the late 1960s by the look of it. It’s a pity you can’t really admire it from a distance because there are so many buildings around it. It probably was a very modern building back in the day.
Building E.
We are proud to have the tallest building in the province! It’s our very own skyscraper The Alpha Tower, a whopping 101 m high! When it was built it had its own website, but those days are gone.

For those that wondered what the walk up where we took the lift looks like. It is something like this.
After walking along a narrow alleyway (15 paces), you climb up this steep flight of steps. (68 steps)
Then this short flight of stairs followed by a longer fight (51 steps, counting double-width steps as 2 each)
That’s LostQuixote on the left of the second picture there. He was determined to try out this route on the Sunday.
That’s it for steps, but now you have a long slope (192 paces for me)
For those wanting more, you can then go up this little slope.
To get a view down on the building housing the top end of the lift.
I also can’t believe that neither LostQuixote nor Jelena were willing to ask this chap if I could have his shirt.

Wow it would have been pretty hard to get a wheelchair up there! Nice pics Steve. And about the quiz: maybe we should start a thread with quizzes like this one!

We would have been fine going up in the lift though (which is what we did use on the day)

Ahh yes going up the 100 (or at least close to 100) steps with Step, that was fun

More pictures will be coming stepurhan, just as soon as I can figure out how to link to them. Every time I click to preview, the link stops working for some unknown reason. I will need help from my Computer Guru Daniel, a wonderful man with the patience of angels. Unfortunately he won’t be here until Thursday the 28th…
Looks like an awesome meetup!
Hi Marte! Good to see you back!
