Was there ever a freeware adventure game called “Black Knight”?
Hello,
I remember playing this game ages ago - it was freeware I believe. Looked very adventury. It had a native american character as a protagonist.
I might not be remembering correctly. Does this ring a bell for anyone?
Thanks,
Abhi
I can’t think of anything that would match that, so at least I haven’t seen that game.
Maybe some of the details are wrong?
Different name, different setting, etc.?
There is an old adventure game that would more or less have that name, but all details are wrong: it’s commercial, it’s text adventure, and so on.

There is one irritating Black Knight that I can think of, at Ceville, who talks very slowly and breathes very loudly

I can only think of Pocahontas, a Sega Megadrive platform-adventure based on the Disney cartoon of the same name which was developed by a then-unknown company Funcom. It was pretty fun too, you could gain abilities of different animals you met and also play as your pet racoon. There were conquistadors, but no black knights from what I recall.
There were also two Inca games by Coktel Vision, of course, which happened in an alternative history version where the Inca people fought conquistadors in space. They were borderline adventures, with some of the most annoying shooting and arcade sequences thrown in between some good puzzle solving. And also Aztec by Cryo Interactive, probably my favourite ag from that company which didn’t feature any knights, conquistadors or other Europeans.
PC means personal computer
There is a shareware title with a native American protagonist called “Blackstar - Agent of Justice”
I think its the closest to your description

Aaaaahhhh! You got it!
This is the one. My god! I am seeing this after a quarter of a century.
Man, you guys are resourceful. I put one vague post on this site and within a few hours, you zero in on the right one.
Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
Interesting, I think I have never heard about that game before.
There’s an amusing playthrough article at Let’s Play Archive:

Think nothing of it, glad to help. Actually played this oddity a few years back. It’s bad and can be exhausting at times but on the flip side its hilariously cheesy, cringe and badly written. Actually took the time to “re-experience” the whole thing through the link that GateKeeper provided, bless him for that. The definition of “so bad is good”
