Something is wrong
Testing things myself I do believe I’ve resolved this, if you log out, the next time you log in (after a short delay) you should see yourself marked as online (if that’s what you want, obviously)
Nothing has changed for me. I logged out and back in and even cleared my cache, but I still have an asterisk by my name and haven’t seen anyone else’s name even though posts have appeared while I’ve been here.

I’m rightfully asterisked (chosen to not be seen on the list of current visitors), but apparently there’s no one else on the forum.

This system we’re using is so confusing at times.. I’ve made further changes and added tons of debugging to help here..
Oh dear. I hate to say this CaliMonk but things have reverted to how they used to be.
I can now see other logged in users ( 
) but I can also be seen although I choose the “do not show” option on login ( 
)

OK, if you’re accepting cookies (necessary ones) it should work fine now. I’ve just tested this about 7000 times

I’m back as not showing ( ) but there’s apparently nobody else in attendance. This could, of course, be an accurate picture
