The iOS version of the Phoenix Wright trilogy is only $5 for a few days. (The app itself is free and acts as a demo, but the IAP to unlock the 3 full games has dropped temporarily from $17 to $5.)

The Steam Autumn sale is on. There are discounts on most games + daily deals + flash sales, etc. You know the drill.

(Among today’s deals: 75% off The Walking Dead and the brilliant puzzle Antichamber.)

Some random good deals from the Steam sale:

I have no mouth and I must scream

Deponia

A New Beginning

Dark Eye

There is a Deadalic bundle but for now the pack of buying the games individually is cheaper… (at least in my country)

Sherlock holmes collection - again buying the games individually seems to be a better option

Time Gentleman… pack - it’s 0,35€ here Grin

Fester Mudd - Episode 1

Lilly looking through

Dracula Origin

Brothers - Tale of 2 sons - this one might be better to wait for a daily

Journey Down - Chapter One

And probably many more

Amazon is having a crazy sale. I just bought Chronicles of Zerzura for around $3 and Chaos on Deponia for about $4. Check all of Daedalic’s listings on Amazon,  take a look around:

Right now Steam has some nice deals. “Time Gentlemen, Please” and its sequel for $0.44, The Whispered World for $1.99, The Journey down chapter 1 for $1.39, and more. It requires some clicking through because their “adventure” category is ridiculously broad.

Gaaah! I’m an idiot. I had three games I was going to get my wife from the Steam Sale, for her birthday tomorrow, but was waiting to see if they went on a better “Daily Deal” or “Lightning Deal”. I knew the sale ended today, but since the counters on the site for both the daily and lightning deals read “NEW DEALS IN…”, I figured I had at least one more shot at further discounts.

Nope. 10am (Pacific time) rolls around and there are no “New Deals” but rather the sale is completely over. The items I was going to get are all back at normal price, and now, instead of three games, I can only get one at the regular prices.

That’s what I get for being cheap, I guess, though I still find the “New Deals” counters to have been very misleading. Should have said “SALE ENDS IN…”, in my opinion.

Keep seeing LA Noire on offer. Worth the pick up? Dunno why, I just ignored it when it came out. Must of been playing something else I guess…

Recently completed: Game of Thrones (decent), Tales from the borderlands (great!), Life is Strange (great!), Stasis (good), Annas Quest (great!); Broken Age (poor)

Wait for the steam winter sale at the end of this month. It will be under $5 at that time.

I just recently finished the game. I liked the game and the story, but it is a console port and the controls are made for a gamepad. I found it quite frustrating with keyboard and mouse. Also there are quite a few action sequences and fights, which may or may not be your cup of tea (nothing too difficult though). I found the interrogation mechanic quite nice, and the graphics (especially of the people) is unbelievable. Puzzles themselves are fairly straightforard.

I’d say if you play FPSs and dont mind a hybrid action-adventure type detective game then it might be good fit for you. If you are more of a pure point-and-click gamer who likes challenging puzzles and dislikes action sequences then this is not the game for you.
