I’m trying to activate the easter egg in the Mayan pyramid room but I don’t seem to manage to find the exact right spot, was the easter egg remove from the remastered version?

I can’t tell what has even been changed in the directors cut.

Found it! It indeed still in the game just in a different place.

I attached a screen cap showing the easter in the original and remastered edition. The mouse pointer is on the spot where the easter egg is in the original and the arrow point to the location you need to click in order to activate it in the remastered version.

I actually wondered this myself when I played the remastered version, thanks for clearing it up.

All in all what’s your impression compared to the original? Personally I don’t enjoy any of the small additions at all and was a bit disappointed not to see any new gameplay added like in the first game (even though it wasn’t that great, it was still interesting to try).

I thought that the face portraits and the new interface were nice but not something worth producing a remake for.
