I’m up to 13 now with a few more hunches to check out, so I’m not looking at the hints yet.

Down:

1. This could be a surreal 90s indie band. Like Neutral Milk Hotel. But it’s not. It’s a great puzzle sequence that deserves all the fame and infamy it receives.
3. This gnome turns out to be a friend, he’s just not a great conversationalist.
4. This puzzle is meta.
5. I don’t remember drinking any grog..
7. Pardon my French.
8. It seems bland, until you figure it out.
10. Well, technically, it is a weapon.
13. No such thing as..? Well, not anymore.
14. Gravity has been known to take one of these out every once in a while.
18. May cause shivers.
19. Piratisms, Ye Olde English and puns?
22. Excuse the typo (answer needs an extra r): buried in smelling salts?
23. Was it half full or half empty?
25. First you’d better stop waving it like a feather duster.
28. Not sure if it holds up, but you could say it floats.
29. This will force you to your knees.
30. It’s jazz for corny buskers.
32. It’s like an adventure game 1up.
33. This puzzle might knock you from your saddle.
36. Well, the narrator did say it smells delicious. Maybe just eat the entire thing and see what happens.

I’ve had a go & have got to 5 - 4 of them via research! I peeked at the hints Gasp & thought that maybe I’d just stick with the original clues.  Laughing
I’ve got an idea of some of the games I need to ‘investigate`.

3. Spelling this name is a nightmare. It was the first thing I thought of when thinking of this quiz but this dude’s name is a doozy. A fairy tale character.
