No new Carol Reed this year?
Just replayed SoB again. (Is that sentence redundant?) Anyway, apparently I’m not the most observant person around as I only just noticed for the first time (redundant?) from the credits that the character “Stina” is actually Sara Louise Williams, who (obviously) voices Carol Reed. In my mind, I somehow pictured the “voice of Carol” quite differently. Figured her to be a petite brunette and I have no idea why. I can’t find anything about her on the internets, though. Does anyone here know more about her?
Also, I’ve been having some email conversations with Mikael Nyqvist recently. I had some questions regarding Malte Stierngranat, the person he focused on in Bosch’s Damnation. I had been trying to find out more about him (Malte) but somehow misspelled his last name (go figure) and nothing popped up until Mikael corrected me. Found an interesting blog post written by the great granddaughter of a man who worked for a year on the Stierngranat estate in Nobynäs, Sweden, during the 1870’s. You can find it here: Malte Stierngranat: Sweden’s answer to Forrest Gump. Enjoy the read!
Life is too short to drink bad wine…
Let me bump this thread to ask the same thing as was asked last year: any news about a new MDNA game for this year? The MDNA website still presents Shades of Black as ‘the new Carol Reed mystery.’
Mikael said this in another Forum on July seventh of this year…
“I’m working on it as we speak. I hope to have the game released before the end of the year.”

That was a quick reply. I was just going to say the same thing.
But I can add something VERY interesting, I’m in it a bit more than last time.
So I know for a fact it’s gonna be great!

That is certainly interesting! And knowing Mikael he keeps his word. Hopefully there is snow in the new game, as in Shades of Black. I liked that .

You mean Bosch’s Damnation? No snow in Shades unless my memory has gone away somewhere.
I don’t know everything (well, almost), but I don’t think there will be any snow. It’s very cold to take pictures in the winter so probably not.
I’m working on my own game, very similar to the Carol Reed ones, and I managed to miss winter as well, haha. Spring, summer and fall, but no snow. It is Beautiful though so maybe next time. Have to invest in some good gloves.
To a mystery buff like me, how good are these games? Is there an absolute must play among them if you play games for their story?
They’re good.
Which character do you play RebKean?

Well…that was quite the elaborate response.

Here’s a link, so why don’t you try one of the demos & decide for yourself:

I have all the games on a harddrive. So no need for a demo.
So which one would you recommend to start with?
I’ll leave it to someone else to recommend what to play 1st!

Honestly that doesn’t sound promising.
I’m going out on a limb and recommend you play the one that says “The first Carol Reed Mystery” first
