What game are you playing right now?
See i love regis and max, i think they are both really well written and expertly voice acted. Latha aka thrall girl is the mixed bag to me as a character, but she easily had the best puzzles in the game. I love how the internet is used, everything about the game just works for me.
By the way there are different ways to solve the internet den puzzles baron.
I felt in love with Max, the character and the voice dubber.
And yes, there are different ways to solve the puzzles there, that’s why 0111 Jahiliyyah is such a good chapter.
I can understand that someone can’t enjoy an adventure game completely because the story, or the setting is not his/her cup of tea. Or otherwise, the setting is very interesting but not the puzzles, like happened to me with A Golden Wake.
P.S Baron_Blubba, I recommend you never to read Neuromancer
Currently translating Strangeland into Spanish. Wish me luck, or send me money to my Paypal haha

Ha! I haven’t read that, but I did read Snow Crash a loooong time ago and remember enjoying it.

I hear you about golden wake, i love the idea of it more than the execution.
Back to technobabylon, i hope the lead dev feels better and we do get a sequel.
What? Something happened to the lead dev? Although I am not crazy with the idea of Technobabylon 3D, I do want a sequel!
I know it’s off topic, but I can’t help it: if you Baron_Blubba liked Snow Crash, then I take back my comment about Neuromancer (the seminal novel of Cyberpunk genre). Neal Stephenson, while not easy to read, is gold. The Diamond Age and Anathem are monumental works of art (and I still haven’t read Cryptonomicon…)

I am playing Overboard right now. It is simply amazing. It got 5 stars out of 5. And well earned too. Could be tricky for a CPT, but I’ve not finished it yet so I won’t know the answer to that for awhile…
Read the review!
I enjoy playing adventure games on my Alienware M17 r4 and my Nintendo Switch OLED.

Yeah, I just read the review, and it does look like an exciting game. I’m sure I will play it sooner than later.

Overboard is a coolconcept, so i read a review from polygon, and wow game journalism is really at an all time low. Here is an excerpt.
“Finally, a game where I can girlboss, gatekeep, and gaslight!”

I don’t definitively know what any of those words mean, and I am happy about that.
Journalism is at an all time low, games and otherwise.

Basically revenge porn for women. Because so many games have “toxic” masculinity supposedly. So now we have women fighting back against that according to the author. So really it was a statement by the author turning a non political game into a political statement about feminism, and not just a wife who murdered her husband.
Are you sure about that Jdawg? On its own I would have read that sentence as sarcasm, since no one talks about gaslighting as a good thing. But I haven’t read the article.

Pretty sure, here is the tagline for the article..
We need more games about husband murder, if you ask me
I think its one of those hey im joking but really im serious type of things.

Ooooooh! My feminist heart skipped a beat. SOLD!

The meaning depends on who you ask, as is so often the case. But since I’m the only girlboss in the presence of 3 men you should of course ask me.

Oh come on! You’re taking this far too seriously. I’m sure the author of the very short article didn’t mean anything of the kind.
Hey Luhr! It was written by Jon Ingold, the guy whose text adventures are in my IF Top Ten. I bought and played it for 5 minutes and it looks like lighthearted fun.

Alright, that’s sold me! I wouldn’t have been deterred by the girlboss criticism anyway (if anything it might be refreshing to have such a protagonist) but now I’m definitely going to have to find time to play it asap.

It’s quite short, I mean 30 minutes tops. I played it 10 times in 5 hours. Still, it’s SO CUTE you want to play it again and again.
