[Archived] Time for a new community playthrough?
I’m totally in Tex Murphy mode, and have just finished Mean Streets (fun!), so would vote for Martian Memorandum if at all possible.
THIS I’d join…
The truth can’t hurt you, it’s just like the dark: it scares you witless but in time you see things clear and stark. - Elvis Costello
Maybe this time I can be strong, but since I know who I am, I’m probably wrong. Maybe this time I can go far, but thinking about where I’ve been ain’t helping me start. - Michael Kiwanuka
The only one I’ve played is Under a Killing Moon so I’d be happy to play any Tex Murphy game that isn’t that
Currently playing: Starcraft II
Recently finished: Resonance, Tex Murphy: Pandora Directive, Diablo 3
Sooo… playthrough?
The real problem with reality is the lack of background music.
Knightette of the Order of the Caption
Music is what feelings sound like…
So is this happening or not? Someone take the initiative here and get it going!! I’ve never done a community playthrough before so I would have no idea how to lead it, but I’d like to join one, and I purchased The Pandora Directive for this!
So…any takers??
Currently Playing: The Testament of Sherlock Holmes;
Currently Re-Playing: Culpa Innata
Recently Finished: Secret Files: Puritas Cordis, Art of Murder: Hunt for the Puppeteer, Dear Esther
Anyone want to lead the playthrough?
I’m in, although I’ve just started the game because I couldn’t wait.
Currently playing: Starcraft II
Recently finished: Resonance, Tex Murphy: Pandora Directive, Diablo 3
Anyone want to lead the playthrough?
This question has been asked several times before. I guess not. Why don’t you play the game and then organize the playthrough yourself?
Now playing: ——-
Recently finished: don’t remember
Up next: Eh…
Looking forward to: Ithaka of the Clouds; The Last Crown; all the kickstarter adventure games I supported
Why don’t you play the game and then organize the playthrough yourself?
Because it’s much easier when someone else does it.
P.S. There is a first time for everything in life.
It could always be worse, remember that.

I guess I could, I’ve never done it before though so I’m a bit hesitant.

Yeah, I’ve never participated in a community playthrough before, so I certainly wouldn’t want to lead one yet. But it doesn’t look like anyone else wants to, either, That’s too bad!

Besides, I am having a heck of a time trying to get The Pandora Directive (downloaded from Steam) to even work on my computer, and I’m pretty close to just giving up

^ Do you mean GOG? I don’t think the Tex games are on Steam.
If so, try the GOG forum.

You’re right, I meant GOG. Oops.
And thanks, but I did find those forums, but I guess I am just not IT savvy enough to understand. It says it automatically assumes your disc drive is D so you have to go in and change it to the appropriate letter drive, but I have no idea WHERE I go to alter it.

A few people would like a community playthrough of the humorous first-person game The Space Bar. See Adventure Game Scene of the Day - Wednesday 11 July. So far we have: Zobraks, VinceTwelve, Diego, me. Others who posted in that thread may be interested too. Lady Kestrel? thejobloshow? Timovieman? Anybody else?
The game was released in 1997, but it does run on XP. No subtitles.

I would be interested too, but first I have to try if it runs on Windows 7 64-bit.
I have a Win XP machine and will try to install Space Quest (God, I love these del tags!) Bar later today. I have to take care of some bills right now.
Eat you heart out, Tex Murphy!
