[Fate of Atlantis clone] Some help with Godot engine?
Hello everyone
This is the “Raiders of the Seven Cities of Gold” team speaking. Our game is in the spirit of Lucasarts’ classic, Fate of Atlantis. You can see our project here, and maybe play the demo if you haven’t played it yet https://www.raidersofthesevencities.com/

At the moment we’re trying to migrate the engine from AGS to Godot but it’s a complete disaster. We need help.
Is anyone experienced with Godot and willing to help?

I think you may have a larger problem than engine migration.
Just starting with the theme music…do you have permission from the copyright holder for any of this? If not, you might as well just shut down now. No way Spielberg/Lucas/ASCAP et al are going to let this game proceed without paying, probably, enormous licensing fees.
I can’t even say I like what I see since I hate retro graphics. But that’s the least of your problems.

Stay on-topic please. We’re talking freeware fangame here. Anyone has Godot skills and willing to help?
Every Indiana Jones fangame has been shut down so far. It is a point worth mentioning.
Disney are pretty aggressive when it comes to people using their IP for anything, even if it’s not for commercial gain.

I’m curious, why do you want to migrate to Godot? unless you already have people who are really well versed in that engine, it doesn’t seem to make much sense? I mean, don’t get me wrong, I like Godot, it’s a great project but it also lacks polish and there’s a lot of edge cases and gotchas and is a tough choice unless you have someone with a lot of experience with that engine or a lot of time on his hand to tackle any issues. It’s really not something I’d recommend for a fan based game built by people in their spare time.
