confusion: It’s an episodic game of which not all the episodes have yet been released (but it now seems unlikely any more will be).

ok, thanks for the clarification Smile
does the game have an RPG element ?

Nope.

I think it’s possibly Casebook Phlebas?

I think I know what game it is but forgot the name.

EDIT: No I don’t. Nevermind.

It’s this game, I again can’t think the name of but managed to track down at the time I wanted to propose it as an answer when it was Chrissies round.

It’s an episodic game where every chapter takes place in a different country with focus on board games I think.

You are correct - well done!

The episode titles are Kidnapped (also a novel by Robert Louis Stevenson), The Watcher (also a Marvel comics character named Uatu), Snake in the Grass (also a play by Alan Ayckbourn) and the title of the unreleased fourth episode was announced as In Absentia (also an album by Porcupine Tree).

It was The Watcher that gave it away Phlebas but it took me a while to remember it was a Casebook episode! Nice clues altogether though! Thumbs Up

That sounds likes Agon Origami where a lot of chapters were planned to find other board games but the developers never got further than chapter 3!

I’ll post a new clue in a couple of days unless meanwhile if you Origami or anyone else would like to take over!  Smile

Oh, of course AGON. That would fit everything but the keywords, yes!
(And I loved both AGON and Casebook but it looks as though we won’t get more of either - I haven’t played Yoomurjak’s Ring yet, that seems the closest I’ll get…)
