The adventure game discount thread
I hate it when GOG or Steam give away free games that I paid good money for.
Butter my buns and call me a biscuit! - Agent A
Doesn’t bother me unless I ended up feeling like it wasn’t worth what I paid for it. If it is a game that I like and was perfectly willing to pay for, then any free offers just give me the opportunity to easily share the game with others that I think will like it, without asking them to shell out any cash.
The Pillars of the Earth is -50% off on steam next 45 hours!
Playing: 1) Broken Sword 5 2) Road 96
Lots of PS4 adventures cheap.

Many lesser-known ones as well.

Oxenfree is now free on GOG for 48 hours
An adventure game is nothing more than a good story set with engaging puzzles that fit seamlessly in with the story and the characters, and looks and sounds beautiful.

Ohh great… Just after I bought it at full price for the CPT!
Mystlike Haven Moon is 80% off. $0.99
I was debating back and forth whether to buy it. On one hand, dirt cheap and I like good myst clones. On the other, the AG review is pretty damning, I hate hotspot hunts and finicky movement.
Then I saw the developer released an update to address those concerns (add WASD movement and make clues more obvious) so I’m sold.

Sorry about that. Just got the information about the discount from the developer yesterday.

Just finished. A fairly short game, but a bargain at that price. Very much a shameless Myst clone, but a decent enough one if you’re a Myst lover.
Thanks for the recommendation, just picked it up. Not that I’ll ever get around to playing it.
Prominence is at 55% off ($8.99 US) during the Steam Winter Sale. Lowest price ever! :-o
Includes the complete soundtrack, walkthrough, and some other goodies.
If you want to get a feel for the background story and mission before you play, check out the Prominence Prologue. It’s available online or as a downloadable e-book, and is a series of short scenes that help set the stage for the events in the game.
