The Five Cores Remastered

Hello!

It’s time for me to rebuild The Five Cores!

Back in 2012 I released my first game which was a love letter to Myst. A real-time graphic puzzle game where you have to explore 5 islands and solve puzzles.
Unfortunately the development has suffered from the lack of budget. It has been a really painful process. But I learned a lot, and now I’m almost ready to build the original vision!

But this time, I’m not doing it alone! So today I’m asking you to join this adventure!

STORY

The nightmares of a mysterious girl sleeping in a temple are destroying the real world. You have to wake her in order to stop this chaos.

GOALS

- Fully customisable 4K graphics with all the modern features available.
- Virtual Reality oriented.
- Original puzzles redesign.
- A new island to visit with a new puzzle to solve.
- An epic intro/outro cinematic.
- UDK to Unreal Engine 4 conversion.
- 360° node-based exploration or free movements.

I’m about to launch a Kickstarter campaign very soon. I’ll update this post when it’s ready.
EDIT : KICKSTARTER LINK

Thank you!

I enjoyed the original game very much. Indeed, I still have it loaded on my older computer.

Great news! There were a few issues in the first version but overall it was very good with a nice world to visit. We liked it a lot on the French forums of Planète Aventure!
Good luck with the development.

Ah yes, I had forgotten about this gem! I thought it was an excellent game and really enjoyed it. Good luck with the kickstarter! I’ll be sure to back it Smile

Salut Simon! Je ne savais pas que tu vivais en Bourgogne! Il se trouve que moi aussi!
(je continue en anglais vu qu’on est sur un forum anglophone)

The original version was buggy indeed. But I’m proud of what I have accomplished with this game. As my very first game, without any knowledge in game development and no money at all..

Also It was developed on UDK which was a little hard to deal with. Now with the Unreal Engine 4 everything is more simple and intuitive.

I always keep an eye on your projects. It’s good to know that some of you guys are still making Myst-like games.

See you!

Guys don’t miss this game if you like Myst style adventures Wink The original version is free and despite its small flaws (the game has aged a bit since 2012) it can give you a good idea of what they want to do with the remastered.

(Yes we both live in Burgundy Matthieu! Could it give birth to future cooperations?  Grin)
