Neofeud
Indeed! There will be some returning cast from the first Neofeud game.
Will the graphics resolution be improved?
Yes. Although if you mean will it be higher res than 1360, then no. Neofeud was already pushing AGS’ limits at that res and it’s pretty far beyond even Wadjet Eye’s latest game, Unavowed (also made in AGS) at 640 resolution. Primordia, Technobabylon, The Blackwell Series and Gemini Rue were all at around 320 x 200.
If you haven’t picked up Neofeud yet or known anyone who might be interested in it or you want to gift it to someone, Neofeud is on sale now till February 20!

Also you can now vote for Neofeud for game of the year and several other categories in both the Adventure Game Studio Awards and the Adventure Gamers Awards!
In this episode, Christian “Silver Spook” Miller talks to Joshua Neurnberger, creator of Gemini Rue, a stellar, award winning adventure game, including PC Gamer “Game of The Year” 2012 in the adventure category. Discover a world where life is cheap, identities are bought & sold, & a quest for redemption can change the fate of a whole galaxy.
Topics include:
-What it was like making Gemini Rue over the course of 3 years as a solo project.
-Influences behind Gemini Rue.
-The art design choices in Gemini Rue (limited purple / green color palette, use of visible brush strokes over pixelation)
-The storytelling techniques in Gemini Rue such as the use of dual narrative and adding key twist reveals during a gun fight to heighten tension.
-The benefits and drawbacks of procedural generation vs fully scripted, directed experiences.
-A wide range of sci-fi and cyberpunk media including Blade Runner, Cowboy Bebop, Inception, Neuromancer / Snowcrash, System Shock, and more.
-Dave Gilbert’s army of testers.
-If there is any chance of a Gemini Rue sequel (listen to find out!)

Neofeud 2: Novus Ordo Seclorum city in progress! I spent about 16 hours straight painting this and not quite done! DX But I am at least not beating myself up over having writer/painters block with this scene for about a week. Which sucks when you are a one-person dev, let me tell you, because you can’t blame the slow progress on anyone but yourself!
Also, Neofeud 1 is on sale on http://Itch.io
The last screenshot looks gorgeous, good work!
Thanks, Blondbraid!
Here is the stream where I work on this a bit during a live devstream with some fellow gamedevs and creators Also you can see how the follow-up game is coming together, as well as some cozy gamedev gossip.
Adding “holographic” characters, flashing neon signs with lighting effects, and a thrumming city of flying cars in the Adventure Game Studio game engine, for Neofeud 2!
Here’s the stream where I show how all of this is done:
EDIT: Fixed the video, thanks Dumbeur!

Hi Spook If you want to link to a certain time in the video on this forum I think you have to wrap it in url tags (as edited above), or you can link to the video from the start like normal:
Otherwise we get an error when we click the embedded video.
Game looks gorgeous btw.
Neofeud is on sale on Gamejolt!

I will be livestreaming from the AGS Awards this Saturday!
Neofeud has been nominated for seven awards including Game of The Year, Best Writing, Best Art, Best Characters in the Adventure Game Studio Awards. As such, I will be livestreaming the AGS awards this Saturday March 24th at 20:00 CET from my Youtube channel with live commentary. The ceremony itself, if I understand correctly, will have characters from Neofeud present in the virtual “audience” and will also feature music from the Neofeud soundtrack. I hear the voting was extremely close, so it’s anybody’s competition!
Neofeud takes home best music and sound from the AGS Awards 2017!
If you wanted to have a look, here is my livestream of the Adventure Game Studio Awards ceremony 2017, featuring live commentary from myself, several other AGSers and the Neofeud team, as well as the Proto-J character from Neofeud (as voiced by myself ).
Here’s the hot new, “cop car” of Neofeud 2’s 20xx future.
And here’s a closeup on that animation of the Neofeud 2 character.
I complete the entire walkcycle character animation for this character in this marathon 4-hour stream. (I know kids are running their mouths playing games for 12 hours straight nowadays, but 4 is a long for this ancient 14.4 modem-loving 80’s baby!)
Neofeud is on sale for the next week! https://store.steampowered.com/app/673850/Neofeud/
Or if you prefer hallucinating to marks etched on paper or electrons, my Neofeud Short Story Collection is also up here: https://silverspook.itch.io/neofeudstory
