AG Community Playthrough #8: The Lost Crown
Hey everyone!!! Yep, that's right. It's that time again; to have another community playthrough!! So grab your copy of the game, or a friend who *has* a copy, and join us in our 8th time, a playthrough of.......
"The Lost Crown"! I'm hoping to get this started by this weekend, but I thought I'd add this thread right now, to see how many people are on-board for this crazy ride! lol So leave a post so I kind of know who'll be playing, and I will soon put up our starting date!

Ah! I haven't played this either. I can juggle this and Last Express I think.

Just found one on ebay, but shipping from the US it will probably arrive when the playthrough is over. Do you have already an idea what the running time will be?
Anyway, might I receive it before you're all finished, I'll just step in. |

Maybe we can wait a couple of days or even a week? I mean, what's the point of starting now if that will frustrate several people who would like to participate. Fantasy...?
Handsfree, it's a pretty huge game. I'm sure the playthrough will take a couple of weeks. |

Hey all. Yes, I'm fine with waiting a week, or whatever, to let people get their copies. I was just starting the thread because a lot of people were looking forward to it.
Handsfree, Rex, and Andrea-let us know when you get your copies. I'm thinking of officially starting the playthrough, how about next weekend? That way, it'll give me a chance to play ahead of you guys a bit, and write down my thoughts and make sure we have good stopping places. And mgeorge-a playthrough is just basically sharing the experience of playing a game with a group of people who are also dedicated to gaming. You play through till a certain point, then come here and discuss that "chapter", and see what other people think, basically. And I too have recently replayd this game, but I'm all up for playing it again! I'm glad for a slight break from playing it. Anyone is free to join; whether it's your first time, we'd love to see what your first impressions of things are. Or if you're returning to play it for the hundredth time, it would be nice to see if you notice something replaying it that you didn't notice before, or can tie something into the theories since you know how the game ends. And also whether you've played Jonathan's previous games (not required at all, since "The Lost Crown" is a stand-alone adventure), you can see little references and nods to his previous games (Dark Fall: The Journal, Dark Fall: Lights Out, and Barrow Hill, which he helped with substantially).

Aww, I got some newbies at playthroughs! Don't worry people...I have never done a playthrough, either. Not even taken part in one. But I hope, and think, this will go well. I'm sure we'll all have lots to talk about.
Okay, so we might not wait a week, since people (or at least, Rex) has gotten it in. But we'll still wait some for Andrea and Handsfree. Hmm...maybe shooting for sometime next week for sure. And Melanie the Mod said she might join in!

Dang it, Dale, you beat me to the punch. lol Just joking. Yes, he was a great help to Matt (who created Barrow Hill). They are good friends, and he helped with filming and sound. But Matt says that Jonathan did help a lot in it, and since there are references in Barrow Hill from the Dark Falls, I think of 'Barrow Hill' as one of his 'unofficial' games. Although Matt gets all the credit.

Hmm seems like 2 people have beat you to the punch lol. As for Barrow Hill, I haven't found a copy yet. Still waiting for Fry's to finish redoing their inventory. That's where I get most of my games nowadays since they tend to carry some really old titles.

Well, I'm still hoping Matt Clark will make another adventure game. But it's been awfully quiet, no news from Shadow Tor Studios...

Fantasy, I have my copy since a long time and I've already played TLC once. When you want to start the playthrough, is fine by me!
