There’s tons of great adventures I’ve not yet played, and felt like they’d easily replace anything I’d place on spots 80-100, .......

There’s quite a few games I have played that could easily replace some of those in my list, never mind the ones I haven’t played - I could easily have presented a list of 150 games!  Smile

I need an opinion here. One of the games I wanted to include is Daemonica but I left it out because it’s described here as Hybrid - Action. The top-down view gives the impression of an RPG but apart from a few sword fights (no more than the shootouts in Gemini Rue & easier!) it’s essentially an adventure game. Can I replace another game with it?

I haven’t played it, Chrissie, but I don’t see why not.

PLEASE NOTE:
If you are making changes in a new post, just list the changes
i.e. I’m replacing Game X with ___________ or I’m adding Game Y to my previous list. I don’t want to go back through your entire list just to find the differences.

Some favorites that came first to mind. I could think plenty more but I’m not sure if they deserve the vote compared to these. Might still add more as I remember them.

Blade Runner
Broken Sword Shadow of The Templars
Day of the Tentacle
Detroit: Become Human
Full Throttle
Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers
Gabriel Knight 2: The Beast Within
Gabriel Knight 3: Blood of the Sacred, Blood of the Damned
Grim Fandango
Heavy Rain
Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis
Life is Strange
Monkey Island 2: LeChuck’s Revenge
Sam & Max: Hit The Road
The Curse of Monkey Island
The Dig
The Lost Files of Sherlock Holmes: The Case of the Serrated Scalpel
The Secret of Monkey Island
The Walking Dead: Season 01
The Wolf Among Us

Might it be worth consideration to be able to choose one or two games we could give two votes instead of one, so the personal favorites would stand out more. I feel like voting this way without ranking them will end up plenty of ties and not many games will stand out. Not that I’m complaining, just happy and grateful to have any list Smile

I’m definitely going to add more games, as I want to try a couple of classics and newer games to see if I should put them on the list. This is just from off the top of my head. Or from the bottom of my heart? Whatever the case, I’m shooting from the hip.

The Beast Within: A Gabriel Knight Mystery
Beneath a Steel Sky
Blackwell Unbound
The Blackwell Deception
Bureaucracy!
The Cube Escape series (should I list them individually?)
Day of the Tentacle
Deep Sleep
Deeper Sleep
The Deepest Sleep
The Dig
Don’t Escape 1
Don’t Escape 2
Don’t Escape 3
Don’t Escape: 4 Days to Survive
Full Throttle
Keepsake
King’s Quest IV: The Perils of Rosella
Lumino City
Maniac Mansion
Milo and the Magpies
Riven
Rusty Lake Hotel
Rusty Lake: Paradise
Rusty Lake: Roots
The Painscreek Killings
The Past Within
Sam & Max Hit the Road
Shadowgate 64: Trials of the Four Towers
SPECTACLE
Spider & Web
When the Past Was Around
Whispers of a Machine
Samsara Room
Tangle Tower
The White Door
Zak McKracken and the Alien Mindbenders
Zork Grand Inquisitor

I will definitely be adding more games to my list as well. Mostly because, after reading other people’s lists I say “Why did I not remember that game?”

But, before doing that, I think I will wait for Lady K’s first draft.

Something which might help folk. To make this list and sort it as needed, I added everything one at a time, completely out of order, to a spreadsheet in the third column. Then I put the following expression in the second column:
=IF(LEFT(C1,4)=“The “,RIGHT(C1,LEN(C1)-4),C1)
and then put the following expression in the first column:
=IF(LEFT(B1,2)=“A “,RIGHT(B1,LEN(B1)-2),B1)
Drag these expressions down to row 100 and sort by the first column, and the third column is the list to post.

Of course your list won’t be dismissed! And as far as I am concerned it’s an interesting one which has a much more modern feel to it than most lists.

I edited my list, but it was like few minutes after I originally sent it. Removed the duplicate and added Tormentum. It was probably not logged during those few mins - hopefully.

So far 16 people submitted their list. What stands out for me is that the diversity in games is enormous and that some of the old classics score highest. I did a very quick count of a few games:

Blade Runner - MI3: 11
GK1 - Grim F - TLJ: 10
MI1 - MI2 - Fate of A: 9

Here’s my list. Glad we’re doing. Thanks, Lady K!
Few notes:
1. I included Hector: Badge of Carnage series of 3 episodes as one. Technically, they might be considered as separate games, so if I need to - I can put all 3 episodes separately, as they will all take place on my list.
2. I included Psychonauts simply because this game is in AG database, so, I suppose, it’s considered “adventure enough” by this site. If it doesn’t fit the criteria of this particular list - please, feel free to remove it. For the record, while it is definitely platform-heavy game, I consider its story/exploration/dialogues part to justify it as adventure as well, so I see this game as having both tags “adventure” and “platformer” simultaneoulsy, but I’ll go along with whatever rules we have.

Please note:
If you have Black Mirror on your list, let me know if you mean the original (The Black Mirror) or the 2017 reboot (Black Mirror).
