I don’t know what game it is, but those graphics are stunning!

Yep, great graphics and yes, Julia Among the Stars, the remake. Enjoyed it much more than I thought I would.

I played the original, and thought it was nice, if flawed game. While you could get over the fact that you’re not in a typical, direct control of “movement” like in every 1st person game, the puzzles had to be more in the spirit of a sub-genre - it’s not that they’re, for the most part, casually easy, but few them are totally meaningless, like the ship repair arcade game. There’re some clever puzzles as well, but the constant repetition of an electric circuit puzzle throughout the game is another problem.

On the other hand, the atmosphere is brilliant. It’s seldom you see such a “peaceful”, almost “zen-like” feel in a sci-fi, with some brilliant music and graphics. Like I said, it’s a shame you couldn’t explore those beautiful screens deeper.

Blimey! that’s 2 right in 3 days plus I knew Julia but was too late for that one. Providing I don’t have posting problems I’ll be doing a new one tomorrow some time (cue Diego with another animal photo Tongue )
