What would be your dream come true?
Gabriel Knight 4 and another Blade Runner adventure game. A sequel to Gray Matter wouldn’t be bad either, I reckon it could happen too.
As far as sequels go, I’d love another Journeyman Project, Monkey Island (in the art style of Curse), or Myst game, if done well (an obvious caveat, I know).
But what I’d be really excited about is if Cyan were to come up with some NEW adventure game that had the strengths of the best of the Myst series, but wasn’t tied to it in any way. Maybe I’d regret it. Maybe Myst is all they know how to do well. But I’d love to have the chance to see…
Honestly it wouldn’t be a specific sequel but I would love to see actual writers back in games. It’s starting to be ridiculous the number of AAA titles that spend millions on cutscenes and polygons yet somehow fail to invest in an engaging story and dialogue.
Syberia III made in exactly the same style as Syberia, with a similarly excellent story.
Same voice actors too, especially for Kate of course (assuming that she’s in Syberia III).
We can but hope .......
Grim Fandango 2 which is better than GF1.
I would really like to see Culpa Innata II: Chaos Rising on kickstarter.
I loved the fist one, and was very disapointed when the sequel was canceled.
Also a new Diskworld game would be nice, something like Diskworld Noir II.
But otherwise i agree with Lucien:
I think that sequels and the kickstarter stuff is great, but what I really want is new ideas, new IP and new games that will push the genre in unique and interesting ways.
(As long as the new ideas are nothing like TWD)
One thing i would like, is for new games to become more Sandbox like.
You have to play the game, to find out why you are playing the game! - eXistenZ
Ron Gilbert regaining the rights to Monkey Island (don’t see that happening, to be honest) and a new Discworld adventure game.
βIt is so shocking to find out how many people do not believe that they can learn, and how many more believe learning to be difficult.β
For me:
Zero Escape 2 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yea - love to see that game.
I enjoy playing adventure games on my Alienware M17 r4 and my Nintendo Switch OLED.
